Talk to a board certified physician today, from the comfort of your own home. Avoid the risk of waiting rooms during the current pandemic.
Call (858) 412-6066 to speak with a member of our triage staff to help determine if a virtual visit is right for you. Virtual visits are appropriate for most minor medical conditions and can save you a trip to your local urgent care or ER. Our triage staff will review your symptoms and help you find the best care, whether that be a virtual visit with our physician or a referral to higher-level care.
Virtual visits are appropriate for non-emergent medical complaints. If you have been injured or are having symptoms consistent with a medical emergency such as a stroke or heart attack, please call 911 or go to the closest emergency department.

If you have symptoms of a life-threatening illness, or have been severely injured, please do not be afraid to call 911 or visit the hospital. Emergency and ambulance staff are trained to minimize your risk of the virus while treating your emergent condition. If you have symptoms like severe chest pain, slurred speech, severe abdominal pain, severe acute headache, or other emergent symptoms, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
How do Virtual Visits Work?
1. How do I schedule an appointment?
Call (858) 412-6066 to speak with a member of our triage staff. We will assess your symptoms and help you determine what type of visit is right for you. If you decide to book a virtual visit, the triage staff will collect your demographics, medical information, and payment information over the phone.
2. What if I'm not tech savvy?
Our staff is available each step of the way. We will walk you through each step to make sure you get the most out of your virtual visit. Appointments by phone call are also available.
3. Is this a subscription or concierge service?
No, virtual visits are one-time visits. There is no subscription or continuing-care service to sign up for. You see the doctor on your time, when you need care. We collect a flat-rate, up-front fee for each appointment. Many insurances will reimburse you the cost of an urgent care visit, even if you're seen virtually. We will provide you with all the codes and information you need to submit a claim to your insurance, and will help you get reimbursed according to your benefits.
4. Where is the doctor? Is he a real, licensed physician?
Our physician is based locally in La Jolla. All virtual visits are performed by the medical director of Medical Care San Diego, Dr. Peter Mann. You are welcome to see the doctor in-person if needed. Dr. Mann is a fellowship-trained emergency medicine physician and surgeon and is fully licensed to practice medicine. Dr. Mann has decades of medical experience and completed his medical internship, residency, and fellowship at Yale University, Orlando Regional Medical Center, and the Medical College of Pennsylvania. You are in good hands!
